Is Chivalry Dead?

Is Chivalry Dead?
I thought it might be interesting to just see what some people think about the question: Is chivalry dead? There are many different ideas on this topic and what it means, and I would like to know what you (the faithful ones who read my blog) think about it. To clarify, chivalry is basically the combination of qualities expected of an ideal knight, especially courage, honor, manners, courtesy, justice, and a readiness to help the weak. I don't believe that chivalry should only relate to men, but women as well. I understand that exactly what "honor, manners, and courtesy" are supposed to look like is complicated and controversial, but please share your thoughts. Is chivalry dead? I would appreciate it if you let me know your opinion in the comments. Thanks!

  1. I think chivalry is alive and well. We don't see knights in shining armor riding around and rescuing damsels in distress anymore, but it has changed form ex. Holding the door for someone, or a kind word.

  2. Hi! A friend referred me to this blog just today, (KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, GIRL) so I'm a little late to the party.

Chivalry is NOT dead. Chivalry will never die until the last shred of goodness is gone from the earth, which will never happen until God deserts us all. Which is the equivalent of saying "never".

I agree with the above comment, that chivalry isn't a brave knight fighting a dragon and then rescuing a lady. But there will always be a glimmer of armor wavering around that random man at Mcdonalds, the one with five jabbering kids swarming at his heels, the one who still turns and makes sure to hold the door for you.
